Possibilities and constraints of bio-fuels within the 2000-watt society
Plate, trough or tank? Bio-fuels are a current and complex theme. Concerning the supply of bio-fuels within Switzerland and especially the Basel pilot region, what roll should the country-, forest- and waste-industries take on? Novatlantis together with the Environmental Protection and Energy Department of the Basel-country canton held a second mobility breakfast in Liestal within the scope of the Erlebnisraum Mobility of the 2000-watt Society - Basel Pilotregion. The about 80 present decision makers were greeted by Jörg Krähenbühl, Building-and Environmental Director of the Basel-country canton and informed about four professional informational reports relating to the different themes of the 2000-watt Society, Eco-balance as a result of Bio-fuels, Energy politics of the state and Natural/bio-gas fuels. The following podium speech focused further on the theme of bio-fuels together with regional agriculture and development-policy experts.
